…It’s Winter here! Snow, freezing temps and slippery roads have made life a little challenging for the last few days. Had to close the Thrift Store early last Saturday because we had no heat. Something about a regulator that froze up. Imagine that! Now we have some thawing and the roads are clear. Spring can’t be too far away. …Found a wonderful verse today in one of Paul’s old letters. He said: “Always be joyful. Keep on praying. Always be thankful, no matter what happens. For this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” Actually that sounds like a pretty good game plan. Simple as one, two, three, really. I like simple! And, don’t you think we’re guilty of complicating things most of the time? If there’s a way to muddy the waters we usually find it. Complicate it, muddy it, misunderstand it, disobey it, you get the idea. But not Paul. He just said, this is God’s will for you…be joyful, pray and be thankful. And he didn’t say if your circumstances support it…because there will be many times when they don’t…he just said, this is God’s will for you. I like it! Think I’ll get started! …Ever listen to Paul Harvey? One of my favorites. One day I heard him say: “Too many Christians are no longer fishers of men, but keepers of the aquarium.” …Until next time, keep on truckin’!
