I had just finished speaking to the student body from
middle school through 12th grade at Heritage Christian School in Hillsboro, OR. When I sat down, a girl tapped me on the
shoulder and asked, “Can I go with you?” “With me?” I said. “Yes, with you. I
want to go on a mission’s trip to the reservation, with you. Can I go with
you?” I nodded my head, smiled, and said, “Yes, that’s what
Frontier Missions is all about.”
Writing today, I know that not all of you can go with
me. Wish you could. But, all of you can help in some way. I know that the
work is so great that no one person can do it all. It takes synergy…working
together, to accomplish something great for God’s kingdom. Will you help me,
work with me and our team here at Frontier Missions, at this important time? We
have some very specific financial needs to get groceries and Christmas gifts to
the Native Americans before the holidays. We want to help the Lakota-Sioux on
the Pine Ridge reservation in South
Dakota and the Yakama on the reservation in White Swan,
Washington.
Here are some
specifics and how you can help:
$5.00 will buy a
new toy for a child this Christmas.
$15.00 will buy a
banana box full of groceries to feed two people for a week.
$25.00 will buy a
warm winter coat.
$50.00 will buy a
mattress and wool blanket.
$100.00 will buy
approximately 30 gallons of diesel fuel for our eighteen wheelers.
$250.00 will buy a
box of Bibles and Christian literature.
$500.00 will buy
toys, groceries, coats, mattresses, blankets, diesel fuel and Bibles.
Even though you can’t go to the reservation, you can
help. You can pray and how I
thank God for your prayer support. We could not do this ministry without your
prayers. And, you can give. Your
financial support is really needed at this time. I’ve enclosed a return
envelope and response card for your convenience. Or, you can use our Pay Pal
feature on our website at: www.frontiermissions.org please,
let me hear from you right away so that we can send our trucks to the
reservations in time for the Christmas celebration. Thank you for your compassion for Native Americans and
your love gifts. May God bless you, abundantly!
Sincerely,
Rick McPherson Team Leader
