Special greetings to all of our partners, supporters, and friends. There are many changes happening at Frontier Missions. I thought you might like to know about some of them:
Darrell Kennedy, our long-time President and CEO, for some time has felt the need to retire. That time finally arrived as Darrell delivered his retirement plans and resignation to the Board of Directors on September 25. The Board did not see it happening at this time but Darrell did, especially since Naomi’s recent surgery. The Board did accept his resignation but asked that he continue the radio ministry for FMI for a period of time during this transition. He has agreed to continue being a spokesman for us.
Now, “the torch has been passed”. Rick McPherson, our Vice President and Director of Operations, has been promoted by the Board of Directors to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer by a unanimous vote.
As the CEO, Rick McPherson, will have the overall charge of Frontier Missions. Rick comes to this new position with lots of experience. For two years, he has been involved in every aspect of the Mission and we do mean all of the work of the ministry from the front office to the field where he has made good use of his truck driving skills and his preaching ministry as an ordained minister. His enthusiasm and humor makes us all want to be involved more and walk a little taller in our work. Rest assured, Frontier Missions is in very good hands. Congratulations, Rick! You have our support and we ask all of the friends for theirs too! And, as always, your ongoing faithful prayers and financial support is greatly appreciated.
Darrell and Naomi, our heartfelt thanks for the years of service to FMI and our sincere congratulations upon your retirement.
God bless you all,
Carl Maier, Chairman of the Board of Directors Frontier Missions, Inc.
