...After a lot of prayer, thought and talk we're ready to launch our plans for the '07 outreach strategy. In the midst of it all, I keep thinking about keeping the main thing, the main thing. It's just so easy to get distracted. I think the enemy specializes in distractions. As long as he has us occupied doing stuff, we're depleted of the energy and time we need to pursue what we're really supposed to be doing and that is the main thing. Huh? The main thing? You mean my schedule, my desires, my way, my life, my deal...car, truck, vacation, boat, computer.that main thing? ...Well, if you read any of Rick Warren's stuff, you'll know it's not about you! We've actually been created by God for five purposes and one of those is evangelism. Telling other people the good news about God's love and forgiveness is one of the purposes of our lives. It's the main thing. In our ministry here at Frontier Missions, we're committed to telling the good news and helping Native Americans and doing our very best to keep the main thing, the main thing! ...So, here's a couple of main things that you can mark on your calendar. You know the one you keep on the refrigerator door? Grab a highlighter and mark the last week of June. We're taking one of the big rigs and our team over to the Nez Perce reservation for the camp at Talmac, Idaho. We'll do a children's outreach every day in the park at Lapwai,, do a physical project in town, (last year we painted the Methodist church) and then join the camp service every night. Then, the third week of August, we're off to Crow Fair at Crow Agency, Montana. This is the largest Native American event in the United States and this year Frontier Missions will be there with groceries, supplies, Bibles and people to share God's love! Sounds like the main thing to me! ...Until the next time, keep on truckin'!
